Talent of the Season

1. Information about the competition TALENT OF THE SEASON

Historically, TALENT OF THE SEASON is the youngest of all competitions in the program of FASHION POINT. It is made up of a free artistic works category and for the first time, it took place in PRAGUE FASHION WEEK in autumn 2003. The title TALENT OF THE SEASON is awarded to new faces especially, who enter the scene in a brilliant and distinct style in the particular season. Therefore, the competition is mainly for the young graduates from training secondary schools and training colleges young designers. The evaluation and rating is carried out by the Fashion academy in three rounds. Upon entering the first round of the competition, the sketches must be introduced. In the second round, the Fashion academy judges an elaborated collection of 12 models, and they schedule it for the nomination within the program of PRAGUE FASHION WEEK. The Fashion Academy decides about the final winner and about awarding the title TALENT OF THE SEASON on the basis of a composite fashion show within the program of PRAGUE FASHION WEEK. The condition is that the collection must be introduced for the first time.

The title TALENT OF THE SEASON was given to Jana POLÁKOVÁ. We can see her defense of the title at the final evening Rendez-vous on Sunday, November 19th, 2006.
